There's Something About Texas

Well I took my girl to Texas so that we could do our thing
Go out and maybe catch a Rodeo, and dance to western swing
Now we’ve been here for quite a while and I’m running out of bread
When I told her that we’d have to leave, I saw her face turn red

( CHORUS )

She said , now I ain't leaving Texas, I don’t care what you say
I ain't leaving Texas, not even for a day
I swear by all the cows in Texas and that great big moon above
That there’s something about Texas that I love

Well I bought her a pretty cowgirl suit and a brand new Stetson hat
A brand new pair of Cowboy boots, and all that goes with that
When I told her it was time to go, she swung her lariat
And chased me all around the room, then stomped her cowboy hat

Well we bought a Ranch in Texas, and finally settled down
Working hard at raising cattle in this little country town
So I thought that we deserved a break, should take a holiday
When I told her what I had in mind, there was hell to pay
